Patrik_F Posted September 8, 2005 Share Posted September 8, 2005 It absolutely helps! It is critical to armwrestling. You must learn how to use your grip to your advantage though. Depending on how you pull, it could be the most important thing of all. You must have a good grip to establish handcontrol, you can't use your wrists to your absolute advantage if your grip is slipping. It also helps to fight your opponents backpressure so he can't toproll you that easily. I am only a beginner but there is more to it than that. Train your grip.
