Mikael Siversson
Mikael Linden have indicated that he may not be able to participate, which would then mean that Benny (talk about a decent backup ) would be next in turn. The lineup also indicates the current dominance of the Swedes and the rise of the Germans. The important thing is to establish national, regularly held competitions like the LGC, which tend to produce qualified competitors. It may not be a coincidence that the dominating nation is also the one with the largest number of grip strength competitions over the last few years. Mario is currently ranked no 6 in Sweden and yet none of the competitors in the Swizz comp or the last IG are close to his strength level (besides those 6 invited and Jim Wylie which declined to compete this year). I would like to see more qualified competitors from other countries but I think this would require more serious national competition programs. mobsterone
Given that I got sacked from my day job and my situation is, as they say, 'fluid' right now I will confirm nearer the time. I DO want to compete but may have to cry off due needing to save what money I have.

the swiss
shame about Martin. He was definately looking at a medal in bending (possibly gold), IMO.
moser1972
Yes, I agree with you David. When I see Burkhards results of the last Germans (4th) and this years MGC (3rd) then the answer is: YOU
