FrankyBoy
Congrats to all, especially to Johan for taking the win. Some questions: 1. Mikael and Viktor closed the highest available gripper (3.50). Could one of them have closed a higher rated gripper? Like the 3.65 SE of earlier comps? 2. Johan bent a 5 3/4" bar. I assume that was done DU? Did he attempt a shorter one? Zakath
It was a very rewarding experience and great meeting all of the competitors and a few others, everyone was very kind! It ended up FAR beyond my expectations! I hope to do it again sometime, hopefully a bit stronger and heavier By the way, my real name is Viktor Sander
FrankyBoy
Man you did an excellent job Victor! You was just 14 when I started with grippers and I'm not even close to you in this event. Johan was 3rd in the last europeans so he has an dominant overall grip. I really hope to see you at the next europeans.
nagual
Note that Viktor hadn't even tried a gripper heavier than the #3 before the event! And just recently started training the one hand lift, and hit around a 50 kg PB each hand in it (although he has a different implement at home which might be harder)! Florian Kellersmann
The gripper left hand closes of 3.25 are european records, I think
nils
congrats to all! was the vertical bar unseasonned? ← It was exactly the same bar using on the EM 2004. ← Wouldn't the cleaning you did make it revert to a somewhat unseasoned state? Mikael wrote some along those lines and if everyone thought that it was unusually slippery it makes some sense.
