Do you think there is anyone that will be able to do this feat of strength? Proper form must be used, no continental lifts. One clean and one jerk. Vote and give answers to who you think might accomplish this feat.

Yes, it is possible these days, and it will happen before

this summer by one of the men that mobsterone mentioned.

I have a hunch it has already happened but has been kept

quiet. Also have a hunch it will happen at the Arnold Classic.

Check out this link, called "Corey .vs the Dumbbell".  It's about strongman competitor, Corey St. Clair lifting the Thomas Inch Dumbbell in Atlanta last year.  :0

why not.

I recon it will be done sooner rather than later and Mark Henry is amazing.

Steve, hows Alan doing these days?  You say hes a good Oly lifter, what are his PB's?  Has he competed much?

sybersnott,

Good link about Cory deadlifting the bell.

Horrible link about the facts of the bell. His recounting

of the bell's history is so full of fiction as to make the

version literally worthless.

Ummmmm good point Roark but its still an interesting site when taken on face value.

Any good links with pics and info regarding Mark Henry for Faz to see?

A friend of mine who usually knows what's going on

behind the scenes, tells me that Mark Henry's contract

was for ten years and 2.5 million dollars, but the most

important aspect is that it is a NO CUT contract! So,

as long as Mark wrestles when and where he is told to by the WWF, he gets his pay.

Sounds like a bodyslam good deal to me!

There is a strength related site called Diesel Power Forum.  One of the posts over the weekend said that at the Strongman show in Ohio recently that Phil Pfister (who has been competing at the Worlds' Stongest Man contests for the past 3 or 4 years) actually lifted the Inch Dumbbell.  However, the post said that he was able to get it to his thigh and with the assistance of his thigh (by kicking up his leg a little) was able to complete the clean and then he pressed it with one hand.  Don't know if it's true, just reporting what I read.  If this is true, does the 'leg kick' make this offical or not?  Anyway.....real impressive one way or another.

Mr .Phister called me today...nice a guy as he is strong. We got an Inch bell on the way to him so he can spend some "quality time" with it.The Inch bell was levered up his leg, breifly aided to steady with the other hand, shouldered, and push jerked overhead one handed.Besides a super grip Phil has THE largest hands I have EVER seen in person. He says when he cleans and jerks it one handed I will be one of the first to know (with pics).
