Nathan Say
It's not nearly as hard as I thought, I was really surprised. I was past the produce stock in the backroom & there was a box of empire apples just sitting there so a grabbed one & mashed it. The guy who was working didn't believe me so I got another one & did it again. He said those ones were old & soft so he got me a fresh granny smith & I gave it some :crazy & it went down too. I did it the way Gorilla Hands says to mash a potato, by digging the fingers in first & then finishing it off by mashing it.
Rick Walker
I just did it the way you stated, by diggin the fingers in, and the apple was crushed easily. Almost too easily.... I always thought to mash an apple you were to place it in the palm of your hand, wrap your fingers around it, and squeeze. This, I cannot do. But if I dig my finers in, it crushes easily. This is the right way to do it? Rick Walker :hehe
Nathan Say
That's how Gorilla Hands says to do a potato, split with the fingers & pulp the halves. I read that in his FAQ article. I just thought that was how it's done. I can't budge it just by holding it in my palm & squeezing though.
