5-1/2" Im Blue Yield Strength?

Hey all,

I just cut an IM yellow (the same as a blue) to 5-1/2" for next weekend's bending session. Anybody know what is the yield strength for it? I could only find one for a 5-1/4" piece. I also read the rule of thumb that a 1/2" cut off increases the yield strength by around 15 percent. That would mean 299 IP. Is this accurate? Sounds like quite a challenge for my puny wrists... :yikes But I will get it. I can do a full length blue in 15 seconds or so.

Logotaxis,

Thanks, but a full-sized blue is actually 6" long. The yellow is 7". Still hoping someone knows the strength of a 5-1/2" blue/yellow.

Well guys,

What the heck ever it was, now it's bent. :shifty

Never done tougher than a blue before.

Nice bend Rolf! That's my current PR too for the Blue Nail. How long did it take you to bend?

Ben,

Thank you! :) Don't really know the time, but I would guess something in the 35-45 second range.
