Recovery

After my harsh workout last night I tried rubbing olive oil into my forearms like Aston recommends in his How to Develop a Powerful Grip & afterwards they felt like $1,000,000.:D I think it also gave my hands some active recovery also. Today everything feels even better, am I the only one who does this?

i've never heard that idea.  sounds like it must work pretty good though.  the only problem is olive oil is pretty expensive.  sounds like it would be costly in the long run.

In Cyprus I think that olive oil was used as a kind of moisuriser and some of the older generation still rub it on there face and hands.  Also, when you rub it into you hands in effect you are massaging them which will help speed up the removal of toxins in the hand and supply it with fresh nutrients from the blood a lot quicker.

kINGPIN I think that's why it's recommended (the toxin thing). When I was a runner, once a week we did all our drills in waist deep water & had the same sort of effect. I also did David Horne's indian burn technique he wrote about in the ligament article in the Jan Iron Grip.

If that is the specific purpose then rub the oil up the hand as much as possible (towards the heart).  I am a qualified sweedish massure among my many talents.
