Capt4Score
Dear Gripboard members, You have all been so supportive of my family during this trying time, and I am glad to bring you some good news. On Thursday, after 10 hours of surgery, Dad was brought out of anesthesia, and on the road to recovery. The doctor gave us some preliminary results and he feels they were able to remove all of the cancer, and the margins and surrounding tissue were clean. GREAT NEWS! Good Friday was pretty rough, but he has ben recovering well, and should be released to go home in a few hours. Sources say that he may have been sighted walking the halls of the hospital wearing his "Captains of Crush" hat, and watching Steve Jeck's inspirational documentary, "Kviahellan" in his room. He and I both wanted to let all you ya'll know that your prayers and thoughts have been much appreciated, and it has bolstered his strength to know you are behind him. Also, you know who you are, thanks for the care packages you have sent to Dad before the procedure, those horse shoes are awesome, and in a special place in the office. I hope you all had a great Easter, I know it was not one I will soon forget, watching my Dad raise from his bed, walk down the hall, sit with me, and talk about going home. Thanks again, Bert Sorin

With Richard on the road to recovery, those BLOBS will soon be tossed around like tennis balls again. Best wishes for a wonderful, faith filled recovery. GatorGrip
I expected nothing less from God as he has never let anyone down. As it states in the bible- Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. NIV Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. I pray that this trial has brought your father, you and your family closer to our Lord. Staff Sergeant Walter K. Crews & Family
