I found a place close to where I live that sells bolts. I phoned them, and the concept of bolt grades was unknown to them. I found the following info on the bolts they sell on their web site. Can someone help me interpret this? What would be the equivalent of Grade 5? What would be a bit easier and tougher than it?

I can't find a company that sells them to individuals in the UK, though.

Doesn't matter, I'm Finnish. The British Standard column must have mislead you, sorry about that. The page you linked to seems like something I could work with, thank you very much!

I think finding those bolt classes will be much easier than the grades here in the metric speaking world. The only graded ones that the company sells are titanium grades. Might be a bit too early for that. :blink

L7, eh? The catalog says: "Main applications: petrochemical industry". Dare I venture a guess this is where the biker chick band L7 got their name...
