Guest girevik
Sorry if this is a repeat question. I'm wondering what is a good lift with a baseball. (I'm talking about when you take a baseball or softball and drive a nail through it, bend the nail into a hook, hang weights off of it and lift it by grabbing the top of a ball) I have been just tieing it to my 32 kilo kettlebell and holding it for time, but I tried to go for as much as I could, and lifted 2 45's easily. I tried 3 45's but the stupid piece of cheap clothesline I was using broke. I'm going to get some decent stuff from Home Depot soon, and I'll be able to see how much I can do. What would a respectable lift be? This is a great exercise.
Guest girevik
by the way, I have a softball, which is bigger and harder to grip than a baseball.
AP
check out gorrilla hand's web page- i believe he does a 60lb softball lift. if this is true, then i would say 60lb is a tremendous amount to lift with a softball.
Guest girevik
Where is his page? I must be doing it wrong because I am not great and 90 pounds was easy.
BarBender
A major factor in the performance of this lift is how far the finger tips extend beyond the equator of the ball. For those with small hands, a lift of forty pounds is decent in the softball lift.
Guest woody36
The 60 pounds isn't his top lift,i think when i asked him he said he'd done 165lb but that's from memory. http://geocities.com/hannibaldave/grip.html
