smp76
I just recently began bending bolts and was moving up in my quest so I am bending grade 2 1/4"X6" bolts, these are not hard so I moved to grade 2 1/4"X5" a bit harder. I was hoping that those of you who have experience in bolt bending could provide a good scale of difficulty for us new to bending. -Sean
Lyle
again Sean, your asking a question I want answers too, I can now get a 1/4 x 6" HRS every bending session, but it's hard.
HAMMERHEAD
Regular bolt are Grade 2. Easy stuff at 1/4". 1/4 x 6" HRS is usually a little easier than a 60d nail. Start doin' a lot of 60d's. Then G5 bolts 1/4 x 6". G8's of the same dimensions are even harder. Then on to the Red/Bastard levels. -HH

denver
Pasted below is a short bar relative stregth schedule spreadsheet that I put together for some friends of mine. I keep meaning to update the more difficult strength bar, but have not done so yet. The strenghts are relative and are simply my opinion. Also, the spreadsheet does not paste well on the measage board but if you PM my your email I can send it too you in Excel format. The Excel format is very clean and has a "Name" and "Distributor" column are in the spread sheet as well as links to the distributors. LENGTH DIAMETER DESCRIPTION TYPE OF METAL DISTRIBUTOR (in.) smp76
HH and Denver, Thanks a lot for the great stuff. I had read the new to bending but was curious as to where all of you guys went from 1/4"X6"CRS to. I was assuming and you know how dangerous that can be that it would be much like the list of progression many of us already have. Denver I will PM you about the excel version today. Thanks again guys you have been a great help. -Sean
