Sean Dockery's Post

i have been read sean's post about training to improve grip strength, without the aid of grippers. to me it sounds like a good idea. alot of people complain about injuries using grippers only. and i for one have experienced soreness in the hands since i started the grippers. and i only train them once to twice a week. although i am up to the number twos i feel ache in my hands. i always wonder what kind of pain i would develop when i get to the three's or fours. i heard joe kinney say in his video that his hands are sore from all the gripping work he did.

now when i grapple my hands start to ache from gripping work, but when i did dead hands and towel chin ups (will tried) and wrist curls, my hands were strong. i did not experience any pain from grappling. and when i first got the twos i was able to close them. so your on the right track sean. look at brookfield he does other grip work, and not only grippers. he still shut the fours with holding the spring.
