Scott, I live in Blount county just outside of Maryville. Knoxville and Sevierville are about equal distances away for me. I have some friends who travel to and from Johnson City on occasion, I don't think it's that far apart. Maybe an hour and a half or so.

Unrelated to your question, I was looking in the Knoxville phone book for something this morning and saw Bean Station mentioned as a surrounding area. I believe it is only about 45 minutes away.

Blount county, home of the Aloca Tornados?  Used to play them in football.  

Yep, Bean Station is only 16 miles off of I-81 I belive.....

Heath, one and the same. Alcoa is an interesting place.

The reason you played Alcoa is they ran circles around all the other high school teams around here, though that wasn't saying much. The school is pretty rough looking (Alcoa), kinda like some ghetto in a movie.
