With that said, you don't train your bench everyday for a maximum press do you? You need to look at the functions of the hand and develop your routine from there. Common exercises are grippers, plate pinching, thickbar, leverage work and flexion/extention. Bending and tearing are feats that will tax many of these functions. Read up.
