Ttk

well, my homemade ttk works great. seems like an excellent machine for thumb strength.

there is an 18.5 in gap between the pivot point and pin that holds the wieghts.

I did a bunch of reps with a 3lb plate on it and my elbows on the floor so my hands were flat and my thumb was doing all the work.

here's my test results of how much it take to close it.

3lbs....21lbs of plates closed it

5lbs....33lbs of plates closed it

10lbs...50lbs of plates closed it.

I guess it depends on the way the plates are spread out. the 10's come in closer on the bar than 5's do, so that would explain why the weight dropped off with the 10.

do any of you guys use a ttk and how do you incorporate it into your training? thanks

I'll post pictures soon.

To those who made the ttk, could you add a little details on how?

thanks

2 1x2 inch square tubing about 24" long.

a few 1/8" plates welded to make the pivot and pinch parts

3/4" x 6" round bar to make the plate holder.

there is a bolt holding that makes the tubing pivot.

really simple. I'll post pictures when i can.
