Dan Cenidoza
I got my grippers in today and they're sweeeeeeet! I managed to close the 400 after a couple try's but the 500 may just serve as a kick-ass paper weight. I can chest crush it though it's unlikely that it'll ever be shut with one hand. Clay, you said you closed the 500 but noted that it had been through the hands of many and had been seasoned quite a bit. Do you think these grippers "season" more than, say, the COC's? OldGuy
Do the HG 400 and 500 have extra large handles?

Clay Edgin
Dan, Bill Morrison told me that the prototype HG500 with the mirror polished chrome spring had weakened considerably after several hundred attempts on it at a trade show in Las Vegas, after which it was mailed to me. I think the spring is a different material now though. It still felt like an easy BBSE, but with the large handles it was hard to set and close. No way could I do it no-set. Dan Cenidoza
I wanted to mention this before but I also wanted to speak with Bill first... The grippers were shipped in a padded envelope with only a single piece of bubble wrap protecting them from banging against each other. Obviously, insufficient because one of my grippers chrome plating had chipped. I emailed Bill about it, he offered an exchange at no cost to me, I now have a new gripper on the way, and, he said I could hold on to the damaged one until the new one arrived. Class act and all taken care of within a few hours... I'm impressed! Bill Morrison and Heavy Grips gets my vote!
neilkaz
Why doesn't HG make these with normal width handles so that normal sized guys can attempt to no set them ? ..neilkaz..
