lancep
I just got going with website videos myself. So here are a few pieces of advice I have. 1. Get a video camera that has a Firewire AKA IEEE-1394 connection. 2. Get a Firewire card if your computer does not have a Firewire port. 3. I like Ulead VideoStudio 8 for doing my video capture. Very easy to use software! Mistakes I made: 1. Did not get a Firewire compatible camera. 2. Got a crappy video board. 3. Tried using free video capture software. 4. A super cheap camera makes crappy video.
Bill Piche
If you have an existing Video camera (8mm), all you need is a capture card. You can buy decent external cards with software. You can get running for as little as 100 bucks.
