bigboy
I read a 5" grade 5 is harder than a 6" grade 8. How does a 5" 60d compare with a 6" grade 5? After numerous calls and travels I found a hardware store that could order them, I am awaiting there arrival. Anyone in the OH/KY/IN area know of anyplace that stocks them? GarytheDino
I've encountered some 60's as difficult as (cement coated from Lowes) Grade 5's. I would say a 5" G5 in most cases is equal to a 6" G8.
Meat Loaf
Well the day i did my first 5" g5, i tried a g8 later that day and it was a bit harder...i could only get it to 90 degrees, so IMHO a g8 6" is worse than a 5" g5. I would say a 5" G5 in most cases is equal to a 6" G8. I have a few of these, I brace bend with them. I had no idea they were cement coated! Benders should get on these. These are super serious nails that will make jaws drop if you can bend these. Grade 5 is the perfect description of strength level. They are above and beyond any other 60d I've ever heard of. Bob Lipinski
Would anyone want to do a trade with me? I have some 60d's that are a decent amount harder than a grade 5.
SqeezeMasterFlash
I was bending 5" 60d's before I did my first 6" grade5. 60d's vary in strength so much that some cut to 5" will be harder than grade 5's and some will be easier. AP
Most 5" 60d's will be easier than grade 5 in my experience. mcmaster-carr sells grade 5s pretty cheap if you need them...
