maidenfan
I purchased some IM bending stock just to see where I stood. My best bend to date was a Home Depot 60d w/the tip cut off. This also was my first time using the IM pads. I bent the yellow pretty easily then tried the blue. I was unsure of the blue as it seemed a bit short and the ends of the nail ended up on the pads of my thumb. I bent the nail fairly easily, but now I have a nagging pain throughout my thumb and index finger muscle (the muscle at the base of the two - basically the pinching muscle). Is this common? I rarely bend short stuff so I assume I injured the muscle for lack of toughening it up - I guess? Is this just normal ice and rest or can I expect a lagging injury? Any tips would be appreciated. John Beatty
I found that if I do a couple of easy sets of 20 or so on my Ivanko super gripper after bending, my hand pain is minimal to none at all.
