opnsysme Posted October 16, 2003 Share Posted October 16, 2003 I have just finished the 20 rep, 6 week squat routine, and am ready for a change. I was thinking of either going with a 5 rep 5 set squat routine or switching to a deadlift routine instead of squats.. If it helps, I am not trying to "bodybuild", I want functional strength and power. I have had great results(in my opinion) with the 20 rep routine but need a change. I always see you tough guys (smitty , jedd, Rick, etc) in the video doing serious weight and thats want I want. So to wrap this up tell me what you think? Deadlift or squat based routine? Thanks!!
