She's also a pretty smart physical therapist, heard her on a few podcasts. Crazy strength for anybody but even more so for a girl, and at that weight.

I think we are seeing a significant deepening of the female talent pool in strength sports as the social stigmas around strong women are loosening. I find it fascinating to watch as more and more super strong women do things that break the boundaries of what we thought was previously possible in both tested and untested arenas.

Boundaries exist. There were no women before who went that far. If a man can lift five times BW DL then woman can do it too. Ofcourse those are all light weight lifters. If Eddy Hall could lift 5 times BW then he would lift a ton.

Nobody has ever done a 5x bodyweight deadlift. The old boundaries for women were cultural, not genetic and that is rapidly changing thankfully

It’s not the size of the mamaduke in the fight that matters, it’s the size of the fight in the mamaduke that matters

Fair enough. Tactical nukes are getting smaller whilst producing more power. So why not people.

Lamar Gant. Deadlifted 661lbs (300kg) at 132lbs (60kg) bodyweight in 1985.

Actually pulled 683 at 132 as well:  https://www.powerliftingwatch.com/files/PLWR-M-10-07-18.pdf

E. Sajeeva Bhaskaran and Dalton Lacoe  have also pulled 5x bodyweight.

Think the steroid talk got it deleted by the mods. They have been quick to shut down threads. No warnings lately like there use to be.

I'm not sure what is confusing about that rule. Our rules haven't changed in years. Why would warnings be necessary?

Let's keep this thread on track.  Stefi Cohen, Amanda Lawrence, etc.
