Mike Rinderle
Had a really good workout today. Only 10 lbs from winning this contest. We are racing to 775 right? Here's my paused 765.

If I'm going to keep trying to kick things up, I'm going to have to adjust my form to flatter-back and feet out to avoid worsening existing neck issues/pain. But, this is the most I've done raw in a few years I think. Bodyweight: 209 Fun fact. The first powerlifting meet I pulled 500 in, I handled the lift off for Carl benching 300 raw. As I recall, he was pretty much a gear only bencher at the time and had trouble with the weight cut. Gutted it out though and made the lift.

Was going to try to do some extreme cutting that morning, but just wasn’t worth it. Think I went 300 - 310 - 320 on bench. One of the dudes lifting off for me was terrible from what I remember. Almost caused me to dump it on the handoff. Your lift-off was the best. Lol. I remember watching one of your pulls thinking you were good for 25-30 more, easy. Just killed it, way more in the tank.

I had a RWD mustang 5.0, with stock summer tires. Couldn’t ever stop on a hill but as long as I was in motion, it was OK. Good times!
Mike Rinderle
Hit 225 for a 2x2 in a quick 15 minute workout. Doesn't sound like much, but that's the first time I've tried anything more than 205 straight weight since the elbow tear. No pain to speak of, which is the biggest victory. now I just have to increase that by 14 reps for a pr.

Didn't feel a whole lot worse than usual leading up to King Kong, but driving home from King Kong it felt weird and I had some sharp pains. Woke up the next morning and it was swollen, weak, sore as all get out and very limited range of motion. Didn't get any better over the next two weeks so finally went to ortho / elbow specialist. Then mri. 1.8 cm tear in the tennis elbow tendon, frayed end of my UCL (Tommy John), and massive amounts of arthritis. It was the arthritis that was causing all the pain. The tear aggravated it and I had a huge inflamation response from the Arthur. 2 weeks of sling and 6 weeks of NSAIDS and light rehab later and it felt about 80% better. And that's where we still are. As long as it doesn't get any worse, I can live with it. Lost some size and a lot of strength in it over the 10 weeks, but hopefully I can gain that back. So, long story short, I did something at KK that made the overuse injury worse, which led to my elbow kicking my arse for a couple months. Lol Probably training the Inch 3 times a week before kk had something to do with it. Who woulda thunk it?

Product of a misspent youth lol. I have a lot of arthritis in all my joints from hockey, football, basketball, baseball, close combat training, lifting, grip, etc. Etc... even more so in my right shoulder and elbow though. Growing up in the 70s they didn't have pitch counts for kid hurlers and played QB in junior high and HS, so I think I did a lot of the damage throwing so much.
