Going to be posting my progress with Captains of Crush here. Any feedback from experience grip gurus would be appreciated.

Focus of my training will be getting my left hand (post surgery) to at least 85% of the strength of my dominant (right) hand.

I purchased the Captains of Crush 0.5 and COC 1 to add to my collection.

Here was my reps to failure this morning.

0.5: (LH × 10) (RH × 36)

# 1: (LH × 2) (RH ×22)

Update:

Up to 5 continuous reps on the COC 1 with my Left Hand!!!!

One of the challenges I'm facing is a mental stigma my mind has created in keeping my left hand protected. First surgery the left arm was completely immobilized for 5 months and again roughly 5-6 weeks after the second surgery. My brain is adamant on keeping my left hand immobilized I suppose...I must work heavily against that.

I wanted to upload a picture to show how my index is no longer bending, I tried to hold it completely shut for the photo.

This is my COC 1 that I purchased this morning at a local Fitness Depot.

  • 2 weeks later...

2 Weeks into this journey and I've placed an order for the COC 1.5. My grip routine is as follows.

Grip:

Monday: COC #1×12 both hands

Farmer Walk 90lbs for 45 sec hold

Wednesday COC #1×12 both hands

Weighted Chin Ups (175 lbs + 25lbs)

Friday COC #1×12 both hands

Negatives of COC #1, 30 secs both hands.

Really happy to see some progress on my injury hand. Let's get Goin on 1.5!!!
