Overall, I was pleased. I placed second in the 50-59 age group, behind a world champion, and in a field of 13 lifters. And I improved by 55 pounds since last year. 😊

I'm really sorry I missed this!  You did awesome Eric, I think that everyone on here knows how hard a 55lb increase on the total can be!!!!  Some things for me never seem to budge, and I see consistent progress EVERY session you log.  Cheers!

I appreciate it, Matt!

Yeah, a 55 pound improvement was more than I was hoping to improve in one year. I’m always happy to improve by five pounds!

Thank you! I hadn’t done touch-n-go in a while so I thought I’d try a change of pace.

I just want to say big time props Eric for being able to even powerlift at your age (not that your old, but you get it).  I had to retire a long long time ago due to WAY too many liberties made when I was younger.   However, the positive thing about that is I went searching for another challenge and it was GRIP strength given I had not wrecked my body in that regard! LOL!

I appreciate it, Bill!  Ironically, in my early forties I was questioning whether I could continue with it, due to lackluster performance; but I regrouped and got motivated all over again in my late forties, and now I feel better than ever.

And yes, no matter what we do to ourselves, we always have grip!😀
