My first attempt at the 195 went almost nowhere.  Totally weak-feeling.  Took a second attempt a few minutes later and got about halfway up.  Really hit-or-miss in the 190-200 range for me.

Steel Shredder 7 
Attempt #2 - (Open A) - 5 minutes, 5 sec.


Way better attempt than my first.  I took almost 2 minutes off my time.  But at 5 minutes, I don't know how much more I can improve, without at least committing to some type of cardio/endurance program, which I really hate to do.  The good thing is that I didn't get as gassed and didn't need to take a short break in between bends.  I have one more attempt to make (only ordered 3 sets of steel).

Grippers felt pretty strong today, so I tried my 126lb. Super Master (MMS).  Missed it but was about 1-2 mm away.  Seems like my top close is around 123-124 nowadays, but some days feel a little stronger, some weaker.  I haven't used this gripper much the past few years and it was creaky.  I think it would of clicked if I had it oiled/clean.  I'm tempted to do either RRBT or KTA again to try to get back up to COC #3 (lower) range one last time.  Both programs gave me about a 10lb. boost.  For a few years, my baseline was around 126-132, so it may happen again soon.

405 raw squat (sleeves) felt pretty good today.  Probably right near my raw max but technique was right on.

All-around felt strong today with all bending.  One more Ironmind Red Nail bend to go, on Sunday (8/16), which will make ten years of non-stop Red Nail bends.  Not even thinking or worrying about it; just going to plow right through and destroy it.

I keep missing that third-rep on axle bench press with 300lbs.  Today, I thought I had it, and hit the upright again, which doubled the ascent for the second-rep.  Instead, I tried 320 and it was a pretty decent rep.  It would definitely be easier with a lift/spotter but my only option is my wife and her schedule doesn't align with my bench schedule, so still flying solo.

The final Red Nail bend, marking 10 years of non-stop Reds.  Not sure what will happen with my double-overhand bending at this point, but I will likely continue bending double-over, (at least at a 1/4 x 7" Grade 8 level) but this streak will end at 10 years.  I cannot physically do this much longer without a break.  I might do a few more over the next few weeks to account for any weird scheduling issues, to make it official-official though.  Kinda bittersweet.  But this madness is about over.  😐
