I thought I'd try something new on bench (leg-up bench presses) due to the chronic neck pain I seem to be getting from regular bench as well as reaggravating it weekly when it seems to be getting better.  Never done these before either.  275 didn't feel monumentally heavy, just awkward and I was hesitant to go any higher.  I might stick with these for awhile.

The 345 felt strong, so I took one of those rare 400 raw attempts (for me) and got a pretty decent grinder rep.  Depth was right at parallel as I clicked the safety bar on one side.  The past few years, anytime I get much over 365 raw, my hips and knees start to scream.  But when things are feeling pretty good, it's hard to pass on these attempts.  With knee wraps, I think I'd be right around 440 right now.  But realistically, I need to use briefs when I do anything over 385 if I want to continue to squat heavy into my 50s.

Everything felt fantastic today.  I destroyed the Red double-over and smashed the Grade 8 in two good hits double-under.  Even grippers felt strong.  All-around great session.

I was shocked to take-down the Lite Plain #00 today.  This was the toughest horseshoe I've bent since probably 2013.  After destroying the DC00, I figured I give it a shot.  It was a tough bend, and left an almost immediate bruise on the kink, but it felt awesome to bend one of these again.  After taking this down, I decided I am going to give one last run at my nemesis shoe, the SSP 8x18 #000, which I came close to bending back in 2012 for a cert, but came up just short.  This shoe has haunted me since, and I never thought I'd have the ability or desire to make another run at it.
