GordonV
Hey Guys, Any interest in a run of Blob clones? I stopped making them when the York Legacy series came out but since the Yorks are poor quality.... These would be from the same casting mold as the old ones. Thanks, Gordon

GordonV
Got the update from the foundry this afternoon. Sorry guys, seems that costs have gone up considerably since the last run (casting charge is up, cost of cast is up, fuel surcharges up, and delivery is up). The cost will be $120 with shipping via flat rate USPS box. I will have more info tomorrow afternoon about when the foundry will have them done. After I take delivery I have to get them cleaned up, primed and painted. Everything will be just like before. At the moment I am only planning on doing a run of 25. I'm willing to workout international delivery. I do know that it is much more expensive than before because the US postal service eliminated many of their ocean freight routes. PM me or send me an e-mail @ vizecky(at)yahoo.com. Thanks, Gordon
Mitch1963
Just curious, but do you own the mold? I work a little bit with foundries and the company I work for owns a few molds and they were $$$$.
GordonV
Yes I own the mold and you are right it wasn't cheap.

Number Ten Ox
What do you mean by painted? I have a Blob 50 and it doesn't seem like it's painted...
GordonV
It's painted. Unpainted cast iron rusts very easily. Every BLOB50 to date has been primed with bare metal primer and painted with flat back enamel. What do you mean by painted? I have a Blob 50 and it doesn't seem like it's painted...
