PeterSweden
Before starting to bend steel buy Jedd Johnsons BENDING DVD. Dont do too much in IMPs only right away. That can really F you up! Been 4-5 months since I hurt my palms from crushing too much in IMPs too fast and Im still hurt. Crushing still hurts some what. Like others said, work your arms, wrists, thumbs, crush, open hand. Dont keep going if you feel pain coming on, rest and recover and look over your technique and such. Also be carefull with heavy negs on grippers when you're new too grip. I hurt my palm with them 4 months after starting to use grippers and I was out for months.

DAVE101
Always warm up. Of all the exercises out there, grip feels the easiest to jump into cold, but the pops and strains are serious and take weeks to months out of training. 1
