Newgrippsters Traning-log.

I've gotten back into grip training and I've decided to only train open hand traning (Thickbar/Rolling THunder/Fat Gripz etc) and grippers for a longer period of time.

Right now I can mms close Coc3 righty and Coc2,5 lefty.

Im getting pretty close to shutting BB Elite mms with my right and GHP6 with my left.

On the IM RT I can lift ~65kg both hands.

Thought I'd train every fourth day, grippers every 8th day and Thickbar every 8th OR 4th day depending on how I feel

I overtrain easily!

Im also doing some deadlift H4T, as suggested to me by Daniel Reinard a while back.

This really helps my grippertraining!

Forgot to wright what I did for grip this week.

Wednesday I did heavy rack pulls, after my deadlifts, for grip.

Bar at mid thigh, did singles @ 200kg, 220kg, 240kg, 260kg, 270kg, 280kg and 290kg.

My grip had much more to give but my upper back said stop :)

Really taxed my grip and my hands felt tired for days.

Next time I'll do H4T instead of just lifting it up and hold a couple of seconds before lowering.

Yesterday I did a whole shit load of RT and Fat Gripz Extreme at my gym.

PRed in RT @ 67,5kg lefty and 65kg righty.

Did rackpulls with my fat gripz extreme and got to about 100kg~225lbs.

Next workout will be on wednesday; GRIPPERS. BB Elite is going down!

Ahh thanks! :) No my only rated grippers are the GHP8 and CoC4 :)

but since cannonpowerworks came alive Im thinking that every time I buy a gripper, I will have it rated from now on :)

Today I ordered a rated coc3,5 and a rated BB super elite from cannonpowerworks and a kick-ass tshirt from juha harju :)

Now Im complete gripper wise, I think.

I've got every CoC from 1 to 4, GHP 6, 7 and 8, BB GM, E and soon SE, RB240, 260N, 260, 300N, HG300 and HG400, last but not least my vulcan V2!

Im looking forward to trying the BB SE and CoC3,5!

This is not a tshirt I will be wearing when I train! I will have it on birthdays, when I go to funerals or weddings ;)

What are the numbers of the #3.5 and BBSE?

180lbs 3,5 and 194lbs BBSE I think :)

Todays workout after benchpressing;

10@coc1 both hands

3@coc1,5 both hands

2x1@coc2 both hands

3x1 attempts@ GHP6 lefty and BB E righty. I felt tired today, I guess much has to do with me squeezing grippers 2 days ago even tho I shouldnt have. Im an idiot, I know.

1@RB240 lefty and RB260N righty, tired and fried.

1x8@TNS coc1 lefty and coc1,5 righty, dead.

Rubberband extensions and a couple of sets on the clamp for thumb strength.

Finnished my session with 50 pushups

Not a great workout. I'll rest til next wednesday.

Wednesday = deadlift, rows etc some biceps and lots of RT.

I wont touch my grippers until wednesday the week after and then I'll PR ;)

I wasnt gonna train grip today but I ended up doing ti anyways >_<

I took a pinch block, GHP 6 7 and 8 and my bending stock + wraps etc with my to the gym.

Me and Roy Rotzer (swedish strongman and professional wrestler) had a grip marathon :)

I tried bending some steel and what do you know, I (bad word filter)ING BENT THE IRON MIND RED NAIL!

I have not bent steel for over a year except a couple of sessions a few months ago.

First time ever successfully bending the ironmind red nail. big PR. Tho I did it in double suede wraps. :S

I've decided that Im going to start bending again. I fell in love again hahaha

RED NAIL in IMP's in 2013 is my first goal in bending :) later on I will take on the FBBC heavier stock etc.

Militarypress, RT and some dips.

I'll only mention the RT, the other stuff was mostly to awaken my CNS.

RT; all weights are without the handle and loadingpin:

10@20kg, 6@30kg, 5@40kg, 1@50kg, 60kg, 62,5kg both hands and then I missed 65kg with my right but got a nice lift with my left

I tried to get 67,5 lefty and another try at 65 with my right and I couldnt get any of them so I cheated with my off hand and got the weights up and tried to fight it on the way down, like a negative.

3@60kg, 1@60kg, 4@55kg

Hold til failure 1x@50kg.

I was tired today, Im still alittle sore from bending.

Finished with some rubberband extensions.

I will get past 70kg this year!

Not to self; in bending, start with some easier bends for warmup and then kink the red nail in double wraps and once its kinked bend it in the IMP's.

Use less and less pre-kink every session..

This must work ;)

Ahh, Im not well yet. I got sick last thursday and I've had a bad fever and been puking and shitting my guts out.

Im still weak as hell and shitting but the fever and puking is gone.

Im thinking I wont be able to train until maybe friday or saturday. (bad word filter) this shit.

Didnt eat anything on thursday and friday and started eating alittle on saturday and yesterday. Hope I can eat today.

Very irritating! You'll get back but I know, you feel that you will have to start all over again with weighttraining.

It's a mental thing ;-)

Today I wasnt sick anymore but pretty weak. Couldnt help it, I did a grip session.

Heavy dumbellcurls and burpees for warmup, weight increase every set, did sets of 6 up to 30kg and then I did holds and negatives.

Grippers warmup;

5@coc1

1@coc1,5

2@coc2

Left hand attempt @ GHP6, coc2,5, coc2,5 and then I did a brutal close at my filed coc2.

Right hand 1@filed coc2,5, 1@coc3 clamped down to 15mm, 1@coc3 clamped down to 20mm, 0@coc3 clamped to 22-23mm.

RT - weights without handle and loadingpin; 5@30kg and 40kg, 2@50kg, 1@60kg, 62,5kg and then miss both hand @ 65kg

Then I bent a 8mm 7'' hot rolled bar DO between sets, 3@60kg, 1@60kg and then I bent another of those nails DO,

Now cooldown with rubberband extensions and stretching.

Felt pretty good compared to what I expected. Havnt eaten in days cause of stomach flue and fever. Been severly (bad word filter)ed up since last thursday.

Gripper power was affected but the RT wasnt too bad.

Next session will be RT and rubberband on sunday and then grippers next thursday or friday.

Cardio was worst from start to mid and muscle fatigue was worst from middle to finnish. This was fcukin brutal!

Dumbell rows with fat gripz extreme for a finisher and grip :)
