slazbob Posted September 3, 2014 Share Posted September 3, 2014 IMO, negatives aren't done with volume for best results. Holds for time, seem to work better for me. Once you get your hand conditioned to easily hold a big gripper shut, the strength will follow. You can look at the setup I have, and the way I do them on my slazbob YouTube channel. On there is a demonstration of how I do them... But in a workout, I will hold it till I can't hold it anymore...
