Chez
I had surgery on my ankle this past December but I'm healing nicely. I want to hold this competition again this year. I selected one hand events that test the major areas of grip while also being relatively light since I'm still not 100% and don't want to put tons of pressure on the ankle for a while (no axle etc.). The details are still being worked out but I wanted to post now to give everyone lots of notice. Date: Saturday July 26th, 2014 - Tentative date based on discussions with the Northeast grip guys who are most likely to show up. Seems to work for all the regulars. Location: Carmel, NY. Its going to be at my friend's house. He has a big 2 car garage (Like Jedd Johnson's). We save money by not having to rent a place out. The money will go to prizes instead. I'm not sure I feel comfortable posting his address so I might just send the address to the people who send the entry fee or who I know personally. Start Time: 10:00 AM Events: 1) RGC Rated grippers with 20mm block set - I have almost 50 rated grippers and other guys who are planning to go will help fill any gaps. 2) Ironmind Hub 3) Ironmind Rolling Thunder 4) 12-lb Hammer Coin Deadlift to 18" 4 attempts for a max close/lift for every event. Only one hand is to be used for every event. You have to decide which hand to use for each event before your first attempt and stick with that hand for the event (e.g., you use your right hand for your first attempt of an event, you have to use it for attempts 2-4). No switching hands between attempts but you can use different hands for different events (e.g. you are better on grippers right hand, but better on the rolling thunder left hand). Rules: Official NAGS rules. http://www.gripsport.org/ Fee: $20 - All of it will go to prizes. I'm pretty relaxed about the due date. You can even bring it the day of the comp but I would prefer it ahead of time so I can buy the prizes with it. Just like last time I won't accept a prize if I achieve a high placing (it just doesn't feel right to me). Miscellaneous: I’ll try my best to put together prizes. I'm not doing trophies since I figure putting the money towards prizes is better. Donations are appreciated. More Information such as an Entry form etc. will be added to this thread as I figure them out. Edited March 25, 2014 by Chez

Chez
We are getting a little closer to the Comp. People can pay the entry fee at the competition, but I would appreciate it ahead of time so I can buy prizes. If you are able to send the entry fee ahead of time, please paypal it to cricchezza@hotmail.com. Make sure to send it in the way where I don't have to pay the fee. I'll be posting the entry form here soon. Edited May 6, 2014 by Chez
Chez
Here is my gripper collection. The crossed out ones won't be used for the comp and I provided the reason why. The vast majority of my grippers were rated by Chris Rice but I also have some rated by Matt Cannon. If you're coming and you have a gripper rated by an established rater that fits one of my gaps write it here in this thread. Only established raters though like Chris Rice, Matt Cannon, Jedd Johnson etc. We also don't need a gripper for every 1 lb jump. I try to keep the jumps within 5-7 lbs but I have a couple gaps. If you have a high quality rated gripper (COC, GHP, Tetting, RB etc.) that is rated at or near one of my cheaper brands (GNC, RC Strongman) write it here also because I would like to not use the cheaper brands if I don't have to. 1) GNC 50 = 36.92) COC Sport = 45.33) COC Trainer = 56.24) RC Strongman Grip 125 = 65.75) GNC 100 = 67.86) COC #.5 = 71.27) COC #1 = 83.38) COC #1.5 = 91.29) GNC 150 = 93.710) RC Strongman Grip 175 = 93.7 11) GHP 4 = 9612) COC #2 = 108.913) RC Strongman Grip 225 = 111.314) COC #2 = 112.715) GHP 5 = 118.916) GNC 200 = 126.4517) RB 210 = 128.918) COC #2.5 = 133.419) RB 240 = 136.520) GHP 6 = 137.621) GNC 250 = 142.2 22) COC #3 = 14423) FBBC 4X = 145.224) GHP 7 = 147.225) Original COC #3 = 149.226) Certification COC #3 = 153.027) GNC 300 = 156.528) RB 330 N = 159.629) BBE = 165.330) BB Thor Elite = 171.5 31) COC #3.5 = 17232) RB 280 = 174.033) GHP 8 = 174.6 34) COC #3.5 = 176 (rated by Nate) = Nate is not an experienced rater 35) MM3 Replica = 176.0536) COC # 3.5 = 179.7 37) Silvis Megalodon = Max around 180 = Unrated adjustable gripper38) RB 365N = 181.639) RB 330 = 182.340) MM3 Replica = 185.8 41) MM5 Replica = 189.85 42) MM3 Replica = 19243) BBSE = 194.45 44) BB Grand Elite = 197.84 45) MM7 Replica = 197.8446) COC #4 = 202.8 47) BBSE = 20548) COC #4 = 214.7 - Big Jump to these and no one is closing them at the comp 49) COC #4 = 217.9 - Big Jump to these and no one is closing them at the comp Edited May 8, 2014 by Chez

Chez
Nice collection hope to see you break a world record in grippers for your weight class My contest goal is at least 190. I just killed a cannon rated 185 at Nate's place this past saturday with a 20mm block set with no problem, but the next jump was 197 and that wasn't happening. I feel 190 would have went down that day. Thanks by way Edited May 8, 2014 by Chez
