Disaster! Cyborg Injured!

Guys, Cyborg Lawson our resident Superman (with Tex) was working his grip getting ready for Phil Phisters July 4th (drug free) Strongman event. He started by hanging (at 312 bodyweight) one handed on a 2" diam smooth pullup bar. After doing that easily went to deadlifting and hanging with the 132 Inch followed by the 158 Inch. AS he hung I heard a loud SNAP. the bell dropped and we all knew what happened. Bicep tear.. We suspect the surgery will be done soon. PLEASE pass the word and if anyone can send words of a speedy recovery to him I am sure it will help. Jason "Cyborg" lawson can be reached @ jason.c.lawson@pfizer.com whith a new child just born to them, he and his wife he surely didn't need this setback. He IS a warrior and will come back. If you care anything about real men of strength please contact and support him! Thankyou, Richard Sorin

Sorry to hear about his injury. Tell him to stay positive and realize it's not the end of the world compared to the big picture. Although it probably seems like it right now. Take your time coming back and give it time to heal properly. Best wishes on a complete and speedy recovery!!!

Hope he has a speedy recovery

Think of this as a time for overall body recovery, a part of any training program... it can help psychologically

My prayers will go out (bad timing with new kid)

Man that's terrible! I couldn't believe those incredible kettlebell presses he is shown doing in the gallery.

Let me ask a question since I'm new to this part of grip, can someone tell me what goes wrong if anything to cause this? Plus, you can actually hear the mule rip that loud? Whew.

Richard, send him my best for speedy recovery. I sent him an "e" so I hope he's back at it soon.

Tim
