I wanted to know if there are any grip trainers that would have a comparison in grip strength for this guy who was in my contest this past weekend. He really put on a show for everybody.

Trap bar hold 285lbs for 1:55sec

You can check out all the results at www.geocities.com/scufc/Past.html

I've seen some of the guys I train with including former shot/discus all-American and pro Highland games competitor Art McDermott do 1:00 farmer's walk holds with 300 per hand with Mastiff implements. My current best is 275's for 0:35. I'm going to beat that tomorrow. I'll either go for a minute or try to get 300 for some time. I've never pulled the 300 so we'll see.

Bob, I believe this trap bar hold is 285 with BOTH hands. :)  Not 300 in EACH hand. ;)

Is this 285 in EACH Hand?

Yes, that is correct. Both hands. Obviously, you have a much better grip. But this event, all weights were a multiple of each competitor's BW. This guy weighed 176lbs. (1.6xBW=285lbs)

Yup. I figured it was two hands. I was just throwing in a comparison. I got the 300's off the ground but my hold was only about 10 seconds. The middle finger on my left hand is now trashed. OOPS.
