Very Simple Inch Trainer

Inspired by a previous thread and playing around, discovered a super easy and cheap dumbbell a lot of people can probably already make.

First, have to find a cheap spin lock handle with the rubber grip instead of knurled grip area

You can carefully cut away the rubber handle, and it appears to be common from what I've seen that they are actually threaded through the complete length

Any Napalm handle will now slide onto the rod, the one shown here is 2 3/8 which is closest to the actual inch but of course you can use whatever you like

Add whatever weights you want, use a wrench to tighten the collars and you now have a rock solid inch trainer for very cheap or free if you already have these things.

My dumbbell happens to be a little short, you could also get cheap 1 inch threaded rod and a couple of nuts and make it as long as you like.

This is excellent! I’ve seen those rubber handled cheap dumbbell spin lock handles at my local dollar store, Dollar General.
