Solan
I have noticed how the thickness of the Farmers' bars is the same as that of the Inch dumbbell. How comparable are these two, though? When I can lift a Farmers' bar loaded to the same weight as the Inch dumbbell, how far am I then from lifting the Inch dumbbell itself? 3Crusher
Solan- I have a Farmer's bar as well, and the Inch is about 1/10" more in diameter, and without knurling. My Farmer's Bar has knurling, but maybe you ordered yours without it, so I don't know how your bar and my bar would compare. This is assuming you have the Farmer's Bar, as I cannot tell this from your post. Since the Farmer's Bar is longer than the Inch, there is a balancing factor that comes into play. I would estimate that if you could do 180-185 on the Farmer's Bar, you could lift the Inch. I could be way off on this. Mobsterone would probably have a good idea. mobsterone
Yeah no problemo. I found that I went all the way to 212 on my practise db - 2.5 inch handle - and this is lightly knurled and had no probs pulling the Inch. I suspect that the knurling does make a difference as my challenge db has extremely light knurling in comparison to the light knurling on the handle on my practise bell. I have pulled 259 on the practise an cannot pull - as yet - my challenge bell. Hope this helps
Solan
Thanks for your replies, guys. I currently do roughly 50kg for a 10sec hold, so I have a while to go. But the Inch dumbbell shall be mine some day.
