gripmaniac
Was the Blob there? Anyone lift it?BC. Nick kindly allowed us to have play with it after the comp. . . . but I was outta gas and the darn thing was a LOT harder than I thought it'd be (nasty sloping sides ) None us were even close to lifting it - although at 8 3/4" hands I'd like to think I'll one day be able to lift it. Nick's Inch was also there and now I finally appreciate what people have said about it wanting to role out of the hand BUT I reckon 12 months of Hard RT training and I'll get it! Tom of Iowa2
Sounds like a tough competition. Could someone describe how the farmers hold was done? And what type of implments were used and height of the handles?Type of handles(i.e.knurled and their diameter) Thanks
The Mac
Alot of this info is over on Nick's forum Smartstrength SIte (Entrance to forum is by application only, if I recall correctly). The pinch grip was done on Vince Basile's stainless steel grip machine (if you do a search on the main forum here you will find some "thoughtful arguments" over the merits of this machine.) gripmaniac
Tom, Check out the following link for a good pic of the bars: Aussie Lads There was no knurling and although I didn't ask or measure them, the handles "felt" like 30mm (Arthur/Nick, Can you confirm this?). As you can see from the pic, there wasn't much chance of getting any more weight on - although I'm sure Nick would have managed 900lbs if we could have David
