Not expecting any WRs on the LBH?..

With 20+ venues, lifts to lockout would be much more likely to lead to judging variances. Just trying to make things as simple as possible.

so there will no new WR on the LBH. Because ironmind rules say to lockout.

There WILL be a LBH to crossbar new WR. In my opinion, the results should be entered into GSI as I suspect the lift to a crossbar will be more often contested going forward.

This is what I foresee happening.

I think I will come out to play - I have it in my head to get a decent Crusher number, and as it's only a 6" lift, I should be able to do more weight than a full lift.

It should be fun?!

If we’re lifting to a specific height, where should the crossbar be on the loading pin?  At the very bottom?

Is there a problem with counting a crossbar lift for the comp, and also going for lockout to count for an ironmind record (with a video review maybe, or lockout judge also if requested?)

This will be decided by individual promoters. The crossbar and crossguard heights will be adjusted so that the lift range is the same across all venues.

For King Kong, we won’t be tracking this, but if someone wants to arrange this with IronMind I don’t see a problem. But competitors going to lockout would be at a disadvantage for King Kong scoring (i.e. greater chance of dropping the weight).

I could see it being a definite issue for judging purposes if the lifts weren’t done separately.

might be a better idea to make the WR attempts for Ironmind after the comp lifts to crossbar are already completed and scored. Otherwise i could see this thing getting very convoluted.
