Well we're a week out and it's shaping up to be a great comp.! Just to let folks know, this is a NAGS sanctioned event with the exception of the GHP challenge. Jedd and I communicated through FB messenger.

Here's a list of the current competitors. Sadly Jay Smith had to back out due to work commitments.

Jason Steeves
Lee Distad
Andriy Jereniuk plus 1-2 of his associates
Jim Garrick
Dan Fleming
Tony Reid
Andrew Bolinger

Josh Cloherty
Ben Collins
Neil Cantwell
Derrek Cox
David Laidlaw
Brenden Eberle

Jake Winters

Possibles that I'm hoping are 90% coming:
Pete Günnar Weitzel
Mathew Helmer

There's also about 3-5 that I'm hoping will show up that are on the "interested" side of things as well.

Damn!  Great turnout!  Thanks for getting the stats posted so quickly.

.1, .3, .4, .9....cripes...some of you just squeaked into your weight classes.

Is Lee Distad's weight class supposed to have a "+" beside it?

@Daniel Fleming  Are you going to become the Pacquiao of Grip and slowly conquer every division?  Congrats man!

@Shoggoth  Nice job on the comp, the placing and the weight.  With 7 reps (GHP#5), I think you woulda had the GHP#6 in the bag.

Another strong Canadian showing!  I love the event picks.

Man this woulda been a good one to attend.

Can we get some trip reports for you guys?

Thanks guys. Still working away and no I think Lee should stay at 120. I wasn't going to make him strip in an open gym for 0.8 kg. I think everyone can agree shoes, pants, shirt, ginch, etc. will easily cover that.

Had a guy take his shirt off for TB lift, failed, put the shirt back on, and success.

Great job to all the competitors!  Jason, the GHP Challenge, was that with the 1" block set for reps?

Thanks Ben! The block is the 1.5" GHP block. Still damn wide. At least for me haha!

Yeah, I feel I need to train that set specifically otherwise the tns and 20mm work I do doesn't seem to carry over.

I'm way off with that wider set. I should've closed that GHP6 at the comp as well but the gripper slipped a bit.

I go from almost closing my elite mms to having to fight to get my 130# 2.5 at 1.5"

I have a GHP #7 at 146 RGC, and even though I can almost CCS my #3 at 149#, to GHP set & close the #7, I'm still far away.

Mines 152 and mms no problem, 1.5" set and I hardly budge it.
