anwnate
So @Jared Goguen asked if I had leftover dumbbell handles from blob creation. I had some and shipped em out. I blink...and there in the mailbox is this!!! Sorcery I tell you. Super spread, super heavy...super cool. Thanks man!

anwnate
No chalk, lying in bed, it feels like a 162cpw. But the spread, the handle width and handle smoothness are likely to skew the feel. Hopefully @Cannon can RGC this beast so I can hang her with the rest of the pack! What a great gift!

Cannon
@anwnate HEY, I saw a Rate and Return from you... This must be it? I can absolutely rate it and would LOVE to see it otherwise. @Jared Goguen Such a cool gripper. Well done. Did you turn the spring or steal it from another gripper (sorry can't watch the video at work).

wobbler
Well if it makes you feel any better, you can add 1 lb to the rgc when you close it with the spring pointed up, due to handle weight.
richcottrell
Smooth handles are for hi reps anyway...
Cannon
To me, trying that gripper was what it feels like to put on a glove and try a regular gripper. Suddenly I can't close a #1. Also, due to the handle thickness, you have to remember that 120 in the "closed" position would be like a regular #3 rating at 120 when only closed to like parallel. So that same spring with regular handles is going to be a lot "harder". That combined with the spread (SO WIDE) and suddenly how the gripper feels is making more sense. Imagine a 150+ #3 with like a 3.5" spread. Yeah, it only rates at 120 when closed to a 1" block, but good luck trying to set it at all. Add in the problematic weight of the beast and no knurling....you've got the most challenging "120" you can imagine.
