exarmy
is there a list of all the people who have certified on the #3, which has their height, weight, hand size, age at cert and ethnicity? think it would be quite interesting to see... John McCarter
I don't think there's an actual list but information like that could be in IM's Milo Mag.
JaredWith1R
More data is always better! That would be an interesting pattern to see. Or not see if it doesn't exist....
Bill Piche
I would bet most are over 200lbs that are on the list.
Cannon
I would bet most are over 200lbs that are on the list. Agreed. I think if you search IM news they talked about the lightest guy and I want to say he was 140-160. I know that's a big range but the point is he was definitely an outlier. Teemu and Tommy were likely under 200...
Evan Raftopoulos
I thought I've read somewhere that the ligthest guy was 137 lbs, but I could be wrong.
Hubgeezer
The IronMind news sometimes has lots of information on the person, sometimes not so much. MILO, I believe, always has those stats in it. If someone was willing to go through the IronMind News, I would be willing to pick up the slack with much of the MILO issues. Or, perhaps there is someone on the board here that is more generous with their time than I in terms of researching the old MILOs. Or, if someone wanted to be the "scribe", and accumulate the information, perhaps some guys could feed the data to them. That would probably be the best way to go about it Yeah, the 137 pound number sounds familiar as well.
Anthony C.
I'd also like the same stats for the red nail. As a 160er close to certing, this is very interesting to me
Evan Raftopoulos
Their bodyweight vary from 137lbs to well over 300lbs. Their heights vary from under 5'8 to over 6'5". http://www.strengthfighter.com/2013/04/captains-of-crush.html
John McCarter
Here's what I could find on the lightest and heaviest guy(s) on the #3 list. Satohisa Nakada - 137 lbs (being the lightest person to certify) Jeff Maddy - 518 lbs (being the heaviest person to certify)
Evan Raftopoulos
it looks like Satohisa Nakada certified in 1998 with the old/easier rules.
Evan Raftopoulos
man I want my name on that freakin list so bad. One day...
Mike Sharkey
I'd also like the same stats for the red nail. As a 160er close to certing, this is very interesting to me Most guys that I know about are close to 200, but there are exceptions. Not sure how heavy Eric Milfeld was, but Derek Graybill is probably the lightest Red Nail bender at around 155-160#. I think he had some falling out with Randy however, and is no longer officially on the list.

John McCarter
Forgot to mention that when I did my #3 certification, my weight at the time was 208 lb. Fast 3 years and I weight 240 lbs, grippers don't feel different.
Mike Sharkey
Hand length is 7-3/4" when stretched hard. I'd be as interested to know this as well as BW.

Cannon
just wondering, anyone knows the lightest guy to certify with the "new" rules? That would be Tex Henderson and after, FYI. Edit: It sounded like I was saying Tex was the lightest, lol. Tex was the first person who had to do CCS and new out of the package.
