Anyone Own The Telegraph Key?

I had a similar thought, and started fabricating a setup, but never got around to finishing it.

Rick Walker had the idea to train his thumb with a miniature cable pulley system.

I like that way better than a TTK cause you can get more ROM.

Plus you can hit all sorts of angles if you want.

Really good for rehabbing a thumb with high reps and cheap and easy to make.

do you have any pictures?

I attach a one of the eagle loops to the cable eye in the foreground and put my thumb through one of the loops.

The loading pin is attached to the other end not in the picture.

seems like a nice little set up. what sort of reps you doing using the pulley system? any reason why you use this instead of a TTK?

For a time maybe 6 - 8 years back I was selling those to friends with an eye loop welded on for thumb work. Was way more comfortable than the TTK on the thumb joints with heavier weight.

Pros of the cable for me:

-better ROM

-more comfy

I have a TTK knock off that's collecting dust, so I can compare the two.

So far I've only done sets of 20 with the cable when my thumb joints are beat up form pinch work.

I might use the setup for some thumb bodybuilding if my pinch stalls.
