Guest Marso
A question if I may. In a (poor) effort to mimic a Rolling Thunder lift I'm using a 3" handle with a chain looped through it for OHL. My question is this: how high does the weight need to come off the floor to be considered a 'legal' lift in competition?? I'm pulling until my legs are straight and the weight is probably 3-4" off the floor??? What is considered a good weight to be using on this lift?? I did 132lb x 2 x 7 last night (up 22lb on last week). Cheers Ian
Guest woody36
Marso, The handle of a rolling thunder is attached to a loading pin, olympic loading pin is given as being 15"high you then have a carabiner to attach the handle and pin together. The whole apparatus i would imagine is between 21"-23" i could be wrong, obviously the taller you are the further off the floor your going to be pulling. Your using a thicker handle thus the degree of difficulty is increased and 132lbs on a 3" handle seems like a very good weight. All the best Woody.
