I did 50 more crushes with my 148 pound GHP 7 and the calibration rating was not effected this time. So, perhaps GHPs, or at least my GHP, take longer to fully season. Just a theory. But happy to see it's staying at 148. As far as feel through the range of motion, not to mention knurling, GHPs are my favorite.

So now its allowed to measure the spread before the close?

We prefer that the spread be measured after the close. In this case we let this go. We have never rejected the close of a Level 7 on the measurement before or after but for 8's and 9's we are very strict about enforcing the written rules.

Lets say I closed the GHP7 and got certified and then a year later I did the same with my GHP8, will my GHP7 cert no longer be recognized?

I looked at the GHP challenge page and Thats the feeling I got when reading the certlist.

Other than that I think it sounds perfect and I feel that these certs are better than the IM certs.
They cost more and take more preparation.

Im up for buying a new gripper and just filming the whole thing.

A bunch of posts on a coin hold that have nothing to do with the GHP certs was moved to the main forum under the title "coin hold". Please take the time to look where you are posting so it is in the correct forum.

Thanks everyone.

Yes, that is exactly correct as per rule number 5, http://www.gillinghamhp.com/gc.aspx
