Gripper42004
Does anybody know where I can get some black g5's? I want to try them to see if they are diff. than the silver ones. Thankx,Tommy
GarytheDino
I have some. Try them the next time you come up. I got them at tractor supply. They sell them by the pound cheap. I heard they are harder to bend. Mine are 5". I have not bent any yet. I tried them before I ever did a 5" G5 and could not do it then. Have not tried since. mmainlands
For the good of the all gripboard and bending community Dino, please try one and post the results! You cannot leave us hanging in suspense like this!!
Clay Edgin
Dave Morton sent some to me (hope he doesn't get flooded with PM's now) that are 6" long and they were tougher than their shiny brothers I think. I also got some 5/16"x7" G5's that were black and haven't put so much as a dent into one yet.
DAN PRAYDIS
yes i have tried them and a 6 inch grade 5 bolt snapped in two and almost cut my neck they are case hardened and will break easy unless i got a defective one but im not trying one again if you bend palms facing in be careful
Octogen
I've got some black Grade 5s that are marked with a JM and three slashes on the top. I'm pretty sure that these are the same markings on the shiny G5's from FBBC so i'd be interested to know if they are different strengths I've only ever bent these so I can't compare them to other bolts
