  2. Ironmind LBH 220.5lbs (100kg) hold for time (~10-11secs) for a 6 second PR. Have been using the FBBC 2.5” Jug and FBBC Anvil for most of my vertical lifts so I was happy to see my LBH has actually improved slightly. LBH 100kg Hold

  3. Thanks to all. GHP grippers is a best grippers in my collection. Gratefully to: Ivan Tikhonov (MM1 on this moment), for him GHP 9 Level, Denis Shmarev for GHP 8 Level (gifted in 2013), Stanislav for him support and referees, and Artyom Ushenko for motivation.

  6. An observation...looking at the photos that I can find, I am not sure I have ever seen a group of grip folks that seem to be having a genuinely GOOD TIME as on this trip. Don’t know if it is because of the wide range of ages, genders, shapes, sizes, parts of the country, etc., the thrill of being in a country so different than the US, some sense of National Team Spirit unprecedented in our cult sport, feeling like you’re on vacation, personal pride, or what. But there is a sense of joy leaping out of the computer screen that I don’t often see. Looking forward to reading some Trip Reports about it. Glad to see it went so well for the participants, it’s a treat seeing and hearing about it. Edit: I see this is my 3000th post. Nice to have it about something upbeat.

  8. Wow. Hutchings took Mask 3-0. Mask almost flash pinned him in the first round but Hutchins stopped him right before the pin, held on and just out strenthed him with crazy side pressure. 2 and 3 were more of the same but not quite as close. Crazy big hit by Mask with Hutchings absorbing it and then just had too much strength. No idea how he can exert so much pressure after his hand has been folded back like that. I would have been cryin fo mah momma. Great time at the event and fun having @Lucasraymond down as a guest for a couple days.

  9. Super impressive GHP 7 by Cho. Absolutely insane reps with the GHP 9! Artem's reps look really wide. About time Igor sent a GHP challenge video to Wade considering his other insane videos. Awesome job everyone!

  10. So in what has to be THE story in grip this year, a couple Ukrainian giants on a rainy day playing with a GHP Level 9! Artem Ushenko and Igor Kupinsky are absolutely on another level. Plenty of video documentation of these closes was sent including Igor closing the 9 in his left hand, which has to be a first and Artem closing an 8 for 7 reps! Ukraine now holds the top 2 spots on the GHP Gripper Challenge board. http://www.gillinghamhp.com/challenge Artem Ushenko Igor Kupinsky

  15. To me it seemed that Mask jumped the gun a little on that hit, but honestly it looks like a pin. Don't think it would have mattered either way - Todd would have won another round. If you've got a guy's hand bent back like that and he's still pushing through you with side pressure, that isn't really a contest. Great match though, slightly surprised at how easy it was, but it looks like Devon's techniques show just how strong Todd really is

  21. This is the best pic I could get of the 1st hit in rd 1. Very close but I'd hate to be a judge. It was only there for a microsecond and still isn't conclusive. I think Hutchings still would have won the match even if they gave Matt the first one.

  22. That was very surprising. Idk how you can be that strong with no hand.

  24. People don't even realize how hard Todzilla trains, even for armwrestling standards. The guy is insanely meticulous and methodical in his training, writes down everything every session, and he has very good full body strength. I'm so glad he won.

  26. Brake cleaner is bad for you. Don't put it on your skin. Chemicals like acetone absorb directly into your body and go straight to your organs. Just do what I did: I started stealing my wife's hair-skin-and nails vitamins. Now I have tough skin and luscious locks of hair.

  27. Nice list, but you're missing King Kong. October 26th. I'm sure you guys could host a venue in Texas. 250+ competitors are expected worldwide. One-Hand Flask, 2.5" Crusher, DubHub Shallow Hub, Little Big Horn. The contest seems tailor-made for you.

  28. I did some other fun tests last night at the gym as well. Didn't video though. One was Statue of liberty press. Used my solid loading pin with 45# plate and 3 bar clamps. Gripped at top of clamps and one hand cleaned then pressed. That press was tough. About 65# total. Also did some overhead triceps presses gripping sides of plate on the same loading pin. Got 2 45s for 5. About 110# Need to video those next time and really liked the overhead press like that. Triceps sore today. - Aaron

  35. Bleacher report need to up the price of the event now that we get to look at pretty Mike in the crowd. Here are my picks. Mask vs Todzilla 3-0. Mask takes Todd’s hand every round and can hit through Todd’s defense. Todd might sneak out one win by stopping Mask’s hits and pinning him after a long war. Sam vs Hale. 3-2. Every time the match goes outside, Sam wins. Every time the match goes inside, Geoff wins. Cadorette vs Espey. I don’t know to much about Espey. I recognize the name, but that’s about it. I’m guessing 3-0 to Cadorette, but I really have no idea. Linn vs Talbott 3-0. I’ve been noticing Paul Linn the past years. I think he’s about to explode and step up to the big boy league. He’ll over power Talbott in every round. Dougan vs Rose 3-1. I don’t know anything about Rose. All I know is that Dougan is strong, but not incredibly so. Which is why I’m guessing her opponent might get a win or two.

  39. Due to the arguments of some here, I have new standards on what I find impressive: Anybody under 51, weighs more than 270, is more genetically gifted than me, has hands larger than 8", doesn't have a full time job, isn't all natural, eats healthy, doesn't smoke or chew, or works out inside and not a shed in the back yard is not impressive to me, no matter what they accomplish. Yea, Brian won the genetic lottery when it comes to strength sports. Yes, he isn't a "natural" athlete. Yes, this is still an extremely impressive feat because only a few men in history have ever done it. He's an elite athlete. We aren't. Get over it and enjoy the show!

  40. Impressive lift! But is this a 100% replica? I mean I am not sure if the handles is 5" or 4". It should be 5". Mark Felix who has larger hands his hands doesn't fit quite well on the Millennium the way it did to Edwards and Brian. But Brian trains his grip that's why. Hafthor is an inch taller and can't. He can lift the Inch now but not always. The Millennium bell is way harder. And Hafthor is the best strongman in the world right now. Jedd measured with Laine and his was larger a bit. Here my hands and Laine's Not trying to be funny, but I didn't see a no tilt. He had his hands braced against the end of the bell. As for him on grip and WSM, I did a write up on that. Have a look Lets be fair it was tilted. See Joel attempt it was straight but not a full lift. Also when Odd was the first man to lift it his first attempt was without a tilt and the second he tilt it s bit. See the video's. Yeah but it's his press dumbbell. Yes but he doesn't deadlift it with out hand. It has 50MM and two hand clean it for a press. Only Kirill lifted it and it wasn't to lockout. It was pre 2010 in 2009 when rich williams got certed too on the same day with a different gripper. But Brian was more than 100 pounds lighter and much weaker. Kapman, what Stanislav is saying is other consider themselves grip gods when they didn't do what Brian is doing. @Kashtan What happened to your YouTube channel? Why there are no videos?
