Magnus Gustafsson
Tried the axle (well, 1.5" pipe) for the first time in over a year the other day and got 266 for 5 reps without much drama. Significant improvement over what I could do last time I tried, which I attribute to primarily the Rolling Thunder training I have done recently. Question: What is typically considered a good lift on the axle for those of us that are not Mike Burke?
climber511
If you go to the Top 50 lists and search for your weight class - you can see what others have done in competition - should give you an idea.

Electron
Depends largely on your weight but 400+ and 2xBW are both considered elite by most. Consider A. Durniat can do both of those in a single lift. A "good" lift is more subject to preferences of the person asked. I'd generally say that 300 is a good number to hit that very, very few average men can lift. bencrush
Magnus, how long is your hand and what is your bodyweight? Then go to the NAGS records for your bodyweight and compare.
Hubgeezer
At the LA Fit Expo contest in January, the opening weight was 396 lbs. I think 4 of the competitors failed to get it. Included in there was at least one person with World Class Strength. When they say 400 is an "Elite" weight, I 100% agree with that statement. I once witnessed a 17 year old kid with 7 5/8ths hands pull 355 lbs. I have witnessed someone who could deadlift 600 lbs. plus, with 8 inch hands, fail to pull 275 lbs. on the Axle. Hand 7.5" Palm 4.3" BW ~190 lbm Looks like 140kg is a decent first goal to work towards. Thanks all!
