king crusher Posted September 11, 2014 Share Posted September 11, 2014 Hey guys. So I bent a K drill rod last week and besides that have not bent in around 2mo. Today I was doing a chest wo and decided to bend a piece of 7" 5/16" CRS and it fell pretty easy so I said what the heck and wrapped up a red. It didn't feel that hard at all. And I realized after I didn't even get a good breath. My videographer ran my phone out of memory but it was already to 2" by then and I hit it once more and it measured just over 1 5/8" The blooper was my max rep attempt with 225 on bench. I just missed the 17th rep and realized my safeties were a notch to low haha I was able to throw it lower over my waist no issues. My bar at home is thicker and does not give at all so benching is harder on it. Frank Pizzo Posted September 11, 2014 Share Posted September 11, 2014 Great bending man! I was surprised that last rep didn't go up on the bench press because the one before looked relatively easy. Either way that's some pretty solid benching. Have you tried that rep test before or was it a first time thing? I've done it quite a few times and have noticed I get more reps when I do it frequently...like every day frequently....of course that's not a long term workout plan but it helped me get 4 or 5 more reps (without increasing my max)when I did a small contest with some buddies. Are you holding off on the cert till you get the #3 with ease? I did want to do both at once but have not been using my grippers at all for a long time now. I could cert the red right now you guys are right but it seems like such a hassle to be honest. Getting in touch with ironmind then them finding a judge. Who even lives up here? Then do you have to buy more nails for them to send? Frank, I have not tried to go all out for reps to failure in a very long time.
