Six Barrel Shotgun
Card Tearing is my favorite grip feat. I remember reading that old strong man used to compete in Card Tearing. But what I cannot find the answer to is: When was the first known competition in Card Tearing? I have wondered this for quite some time.. Thanks in advance. mightyjoe
I'm not aware of a competition where it was card tearing only. John Brookfield set a world record in card tearing but it was John against the clock and the cards not against another competitor. If there was such a competition David Horne will probably know. Maybe he'll chime in on your question.

David Horne
The winner Pellado tore 130 cards together in 50 secs. Remember cards back then were paper cards, and not like they are today.
