Yeah, thanks for the lesson in contest rules. It was not prohibited in that particular contest. He did 200kg+ with no hook back when mid-350s was 2nd place. Not to hijack the thread but the performance by Rich Williams at the Arnold that year (posted above) is by far the most impressive axle performance ever in my mind - nothing is close. He pulled a legit 6+ reps with the Sorin's Monster to complete lockout - quick down signal (which is now standard) but standing completely erect with locked knees and shoulders back - this is completely insane. The torque on the top of the Sorin's Monster has to be felt to be believed. Nobody else has ever lifted the monster to full lockout in my opinion although Felix and Tex were given reps that year - which were good within the rules of that competition - but not like Rich.
