Iron Grip Magazine Ending

Recommended Posts

To all my subscribers,

Unfortunately, due to the many pressures of self-employment, education, and various other commitments, we will be bringing the Iron Grip magazine to a close.

We plan to do the final two issues as a bumper spiral bound final edition in September.

If this is successful, we will consider compiling an Iron Grip Annual in January of each year, when we routinely have a gap in our schedules. Obviously this would depend upon whether subscribers felt there was a need for such a publication (there is so much information now available on the internet that it may be considered a redundant idea: please give us your feedback).

All subscribers who are owed more than two issues of the magazine will be issued with a refund.

Sad news indeed David. I enjoyed the great info you always presented.

I wish for you to keep any refund that may be due to me. (If there is one due).

The info I received is priceless!

Glad you guys have enjoyed it.

For the last issue were planning on doing interviews with the editors, but we'd like the readers to ask the questions, so please post them here or send them to me at david.horne2@ntlworld.com

We have never been interviewed for any mags so this should be fun.

We'd also appreciate any suggestions as to what you'd like to see in this last issue.

Will you make the final issue available to non-subscribers? I would love to have a copy of the final.

Thanks

David,

If I may correct you. Yes, there is plenty of information free on the net, but, UNLIKE the information found in Iron Grip, it is often not-reliable, but unfortunately, those new to the sport's history do not know it is inaccurate so they parrot what they read, so the ignorance grows. Iron Grip was one source of net weed killer.

I will miss Iron Grip, and the research behind it, and your dogged pursuit of references and fact. What is easy is seldom excellent; Iron Grip was excellent.

Never interviewed?? If I wasn't considering closing Muscle Mob as well I'd get that sorted asap. Indeed I may well still do something for some other mags I have lined up depending on whether we keep going. This should be remeided (sp).

That's a damn shame. I'm just glad that I've got all my copies safely stashed away for prosperity.

Cheers for all your hard work over the years Dave and Liz.

Yes, sad news. I think I'm owed one issue. Would guys in my situation simply receive a refund, or would we receive the last, spiral bound issue? If you need additional money from those in my situation, let us know, David, so we have the option of receiving the last edition. And I've ceratainly enjoyed the three isssues I've been fortunate enough to read. Good work, David!

Eric,

You will have a last issue, no extra money wanted. I will hope to make the last issue special and we will sign them to each subscriber.

Re. Back issues. I will sort a list out with what is available.

Re. CD. No we won't be doing a cd of them.

Weldon,

If we have some of the last issue left, then they will be with the back issues.

Many thanks for all your kind comments,

David

David,

If you indeed sign the last issue , can you mark the issue with

a # as well? a special #

Issue #1 of issue #4 of volume 4 or something. Maybe based on where

you stand as a subscriber as to what # you receive.

Example: lets say I am your 20th listed subscriber so I would receive issue #20

of the last issue (marked as #20 and signed by you)

Possible?

Thanks

Rick

Rick,

Seems a good idea.

Also for those who have a subscription, or even those who have multiple please tell me if you want anything special signed on the front.
